bats

i really like bats. here's some that i've seen so far :) i don't know many species specific facts- but i'll tell you as much as i know.

seba's short-tailed bat

these little guys have been my absolute favourites so far. i got to hang out with loads of these fellas at chester zoo, and even got to feed some B) they are really speedy little bois (as most bats are), but goddamn do they love banana!

hammer-headed fruit bat

these are definitely the funniest looking babies i've seen! the only time i've been lucky enough to see them has been at wroclaw zoo, where they were all tucked up above us in the enclosure.

rodrigues fruit bat

i've seen these lil guys quite a few times in different zoos across europe. i read that this species was actually incredibly close to extinction in the 1970s, but thanks to conservation efforts we're seeing more & more of them.

livingstone's fruit bat

i drew this funky little man thinking that i'd seen him at chester zoo. after doing a lil reading into them- i will actually be paying some a visit soon!
